Maintenance Technician in Burton upon Trent - CV-Library

A Maintenance Technician is sought by a global automotive components manufacturer, based at their Burton-upon-Trent plant on three rotating shifts.
 
The Role:

Maintenance of the assembly equipment and facilities as and when required
Respond to breakdowns on the assembly equipment on an urgent basis
Recording and analysing data from equipment failures
Liaising with and working with outside contractors
Planning and carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities
Assist operations in improving uptime on equipment using problem solving techniques
Working on bespoke assembly fixtures and conveyor systems, utilising knowledge of pneumatics, electrics, PLC systems (Siemens) and robotics
Flexible and willing to work in any area/shift, and support opposite shift when requiredThere is also scope for this role to be a Senior Maintenance Technician responsible for two Technicians on the shift pattern with a higher salary if you have supervisory experience.

The successful Maintenance Technician will have the following:

Experience in a similar maintenance role in the automotive sector
Time-served apprenticeship with relevant qualification Level 3 or HNC, or equivalent
Proficient with Siemens PLCs, fault finding and writing / structuring new programs
18th Edition certification is beneficial
Ability to identify and eliminate health, safety, ergonomic and environmental hazardsThe following skills and experience are preferred but not essential:

Certified skills: Fanuc robot controllers, MEWPs / working at height and forklift truck licence.
Experience of managing others
Use of CMMS for tracking and controlling at maintenance activities
Capable IT skills with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Excel
