Orion Automation are currently supporting a leading automation solution provider as they are seeking an additional Installation Engineer to join their team Engineer to play a pivotal role in ongoing and future projects.

Our client is experiencing consistent revenue growth and are comfortable considering an Installation Engineer who is either Mechanically or Electrically biased and intends to provide training to develop the individual wherever required.

£ 38,000 '' 42,000 p.a + 1.5 x Overtime Mon-Sat, 2x Sunday (typically c. 50 hours p.month) + Company and Personal Bonus + 37.5 Hour Week + Pension

The Installation Engineer will be responsible for:

A blend of manufacturing and customer site-based work, predominantly in the UK and sometimes overseas.
Contribute to the build and calibration of a range of conveyor-based handling systems.  These can include mechanical devices, pneumatics, and electrics.  Systems are PLC controlled and require the setting of optical sensors, reed switches, and pneumatic cylinder speeds in our installations. 
Building and setting of mechanical and electrical systems from 2D/3D Mechanical system CAD drawings and control panel drawings. 
Commissioning equipment at the end of the installation.
Maintenance/breakdown visits where electrical and sometimes mechanical fault finding is required.Requirements

Mechanical or Electrical training or apprenticeship.
Familiarity with PLC control inputs/outputs and I-O Link.  High voltage 240V/415V 3-phase motors would be an advantage. 
A basic understanding of pneumatics and machine mechanics.
Ideally 3+ years of proven hands-on experience with a strong interest in automation machinery, product handling machinery, and control systems.
Ability to read and understand mechanical and basic electrical drawings.
A good range of personal tools, mechanical and electrical.
Must have a full driving License.
