We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Residential Childcare Development Coach with our client, an esteemed award-winning training provider. Our client specialises in delivering apprenticeships in the healthcare sector. As a leading provider in the industry, they are committed to making a positive impact on individuals' lives by equipping them with essential skills and knowledge.

As a Residential Childcare Development Coach, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality training and support to learners in the residential childcare sector. This full-time role entails remote delivery with occasional travel required to engage directly with learners. The ideal candidate will either possess hands-on experience in residential childcare environments or demonstrate the ability to effectively teach residential childcare concepts from level 3 and beyond.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee a group of apprentices, guiding them through their apprenticeship journey to successful completion through monthly teaching sessions employing a combination of remote and in-person delivery methods.

Aid apprentices in gathering evidence to demonstrate their proficiency in apprenticeship knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for End-Point Assessment (EPA).

Identify and provide assistance to apprentices who require additional support for their learning needs.

Monitor and manage the progress of apprentices throughout their apprenticeship program.

Support apprentices in attaining Functional Skills level 2 in English and mathematics if they do not already hold these qualifications initially.

Foster strong relationships within the team and with clients, including managers and apprentices, to ensure effective collaboration and support throughout the apprenticeship process.

Experience and Skills

An Assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA or equivalent (desired)

A Teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS or equivalent

Knowledge of apprenticeship levy, Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) etc

Have a Level 5 or higher qualification in Leadership and Management, or possess a managerial experience in a residential home

Experience working in the residential childcare setting

GCSE in Maths and English at level C

A level 2 Functional skills
