SQL DBA – Azure – Fully Remote

CRG Recruitment are working with one of our clients to recruit a SQL Database Administrator to perform database support and administration using Microsoft SQL Server and related tools as appropriate by planning and delivering standardisation, database operations enhancements, technical control, monitoring and reporting over key data assets.

You will work closely with the business to provide dynamic and excellent 2nd and 3rd line support, acting as an escalation point and providing continual hands-on database expertise to the key stakeholders in the IT department and the wider organisation.

You will also support the business in designing, planning and executing strategic solutions and data

infrastructure, and the upgrade and merging of key systems and enterprise applications, working with 3rd parties where appropriate and acting as an SME

Please note this role is fully remote with some travel

Key Skills required,

* A great experience & understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2012+, relational databases and SQL

* Good experience of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based databases, especially building/deploying and migrating into Azure including Azure SQL Database

* Good understanding of database related Azure services such as Azure VMs and concepts such as IaaS

* Highly desirable: Experience of SSIS, SSRS, and Replication

* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in a motivated team of developers and data engineers, ability to mentor junior team members

* Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Microsoft SQL and related technologies

My client are offering a salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience
