Job Title: General Manager – (Shot Blasting and Painting/Coatings)

Location: United Kingdom, Middlesbrough

Salary: £55,000 per annum

+ Company Vehicle or car allowance

Company Overview:

Our client is a leading provider of shot blasting and painting/coatings services in the industrial sector, delivering high-quality solutions to clients across various industries. With a focus on excellence and innovation, they are committed to exceeding customer expectations. Our client is currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the shot blasting and painting/coatings division and drive business growth. Based in Middlesbrough, our client has recently invested heavily in various parts of the business to enable organic growth and now pursue further growth with the help of a General manager

Position Overview:

As the General Manager, you will lead our shot blasting and painting/coatings division, overseeing operations, project management, and sales activities. This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in coatings and blasting environments, capable of managing teams, securing projects, and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the shot blasting and painting/coatings division, including personnel, operations, and financial performance, to achieve business objectives and targets.

Develop and implement strategies to grow revenue, profitability, and market share within the industrial coatings and blasting sector.

Price work scopes, proposals, and contracts, ensuring competitive pricing strategies and profitability margins while meeting client requirements and expectations.

Secure and manage projects and contracts, overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Utilize sales experience to generate leads, negotiate contracts, and secure new business opportunities within the industrial sector and coatings and blasting sector.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and regulations to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a leadership role within the industrial coatings and blasting sector, with a track record of success in team management, project management, and sales.

Extensive knowledge of shot blasting, painting/coatings, surface preparation techniques, and related equipment and materials.

Demonstrated sales experience within the industrial sector, with a focus on coatings and blasting services.

Strong business acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to price work scopes and negotiate contracts effectively.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
