Role: Junior Sous Chef
Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire
Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (45 hrs over 5 days) + overtime

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS
✔ All candidates must have a valid UK driving licence

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
✔ A minimum of 2 years experience in similar Junior Sous Chef role
✔ Must be experienced working with fresh, seasonal produce
✔ Should offer strong client management and customer service skills
✔ Ideally will have experience leading and motivating teams of staff
✔ Requires experience working in high-end, fine dining settings
✔ Must be confident on food safety and HACCP requirements
✔ Candidates with a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification are preferred
✔ Other food preparation or health and safety qualifications are desirable

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Effectively supporting with all tasks across a multi-site business
* Typically working the breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner service
* Consistently maintaining strict hygiene and cleanliness standards
* Ensuring full compliance with company policy and UK law
* Preparing and cooking seasonal and other menu items as required
* Overseeing all production, stock, and operational kitchen concerns
* Helping to creatively and professionally plate dishes
* Stock management including placing new supplier orders
* Complying with health and safety regulations at all times
* Creating and implementing new food concepts and menu items
* Responsible for designing menus and assigning costs to products
* Assisting with cleaning the kitchen and food preparation areas
* Correctly labelling, storing and, rotating stock as required
* Helping to guide, train, and develop junior members of the team
* Recognising and supporting with training needs within the team
* Managing catering needs for business events and functions
* Creating and implementing change initiatives across the business
