Maintenance Engineer in Dalton - CV-Library

A large and highly successful steel processing company requires a Maintenance Engineer to be based at their site near Thirsk, North Yorkshire

The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering support of all site plant and equipment, completing daily maintenance schedules and longer term projects to ensure standards are maintained

The Role:

The position exists to maintain and develop the site and equipment in order to:

* Ensure equipment is maintained to ensure maximum performance and availability for production operations.

* Develop maintenance systems and equipment strategy to enhance customer service.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain equipment to ensure maximum availability and performance. (4 x laser profilers, 8 x Automated Saws, 26 x Overhead cranes, site vehicles & associated equipment)

* First line repairs and breakdown of equipment.

* Development, implementation and review of preventative maintenance systems.

* Development of warehouse equipment & processes including capital investment, maintenance and continuous improvements.

* Involved in the implementation of capital projects.

* Undertake any other reasonable task as required (competence permitting).

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

* Will be qualified in an mechanical or electrical discipline.

* A good understanding and experience of maintenance.

* IT Literate with some experience of machine systems.

* A good understanding of continuous Improvement processes and the ability to bring new ideas into the site, to develop and enhance the processes and procedures.
