Our Client, a World recognised and respected Automotive OEM Manufacturer based in rural Warwickshire, are actively seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join their highly successful team with immediate effect on initially a 6 month Contract basis (Inside IR35), albeit with likelihood of extension at the end of this term. This position is shift based with the hours of work being Monday to Thursday from 2-00pm – 1-00am. On offer to the successful candidate is a competitive, albeit negotiable hourly rate, based on relevant experience.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
To be responsible for tactical decisions that are aligned to deliver products in time to downstream production areas.
Utilising cost-to-serve analysis to identify collaborative opportunities for improvement.
Responsible for determining and driving capacity utilization requirements to plan to a synchronized shipment plan.
Ensures contract manufacturer performance, volumes and timeline goals are met by utilizing systems, tools and standard operating procedures to meet KPI service performance.
Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for service / operational failures.
Acts as the contract manufacturer main escalation point in resolving operational bottlenecks.
Works with peers for the effective management and transition of goods from receipt to production that meet both service and cost objectives, whilst increasing agility.
Is responsible for the accurate management and reporting of operational inventory.
Works in partnership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for service excellence, continuous improvement, and the application of innovation.
To build a high-performing and collaborative team culture, both internally and externally with contract manufacturing provider.
Manages and oversees the deployment of efficient procedures and processes for effective logistics planning and execution.
Effectively governs, manages, and utilises short and long-term capacity planning efforts to deliver accurate and reliable weekly capacity and load planning.You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Should ideally be educated with a Degree or HND in a relevant subject, although plenty of relevant experience will be considered.
You will need to be an experienced Logistics Manager with ideally Automotive manufacturing industry experience.
Should have the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy, together with the ability to work accurately and efficiently, taking resourceful action during periods of considerable pressure.
You will need the ability and experience to attract, lead, manage and inspire logistics talent and resources.
You will have the confidence and commitment to deliver the strategic vision that promotes the interests of the logistics organization.
Impact and influence: Develops and maintains effective and collaborative relationships (internal & external) to facilitate change and ensure cohesion across the network. Able to promote and secure stakeholder buy-in.
Computer Literacy is essential.It’s great if you also have the following:
Automotive components experience is desirable.
An awareness of a Production System / Lean Manufacturing would be an advantage.This position is available with immediate effect.
