The Job Role.....

As a Commis Chef or Junior CDP you will be reporting to the Head Chef assisting the brigade in the smooth running of daily operations.

Preparation of high quality food ensuring the highest standards are met at all times, in line with company regulations. Being a team player with a flexible nature to be able to assist colleagues and training chefs.

You will gain great experience as a Commis Chef in all function areas of a busy Hotel with banqueting and restaurant service.

Your Responsibilities as a Commis Chef...

* Striving towards quality & consistency in a busy environment,

* Maintain Health & Hygiene standards as company regulations dictate

* Flexible, work in a team and be able to work on various sections within the kitchen.

* Adaptable to a changing environment and be able to react with speed whilst maintaining standards, with a cool demeanour.

The ideal Commis Chef...

* Minimum 1yrs in a Hotel / Catering environment

* Previous catering experience cooking - essential

* Previous experience in a similar role, or fast paced restaurant experience

* Flexible approach as there will be a requirement to work on a shift basis, including evenings & weekends.

* Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive can do attitude.

* Passionate about the industry, with good knowledge of the Hotel industry.

* Creative flair with a passion for progression to go from Commis Chef to Chef De Partie.

* Ultimately team player, with a reliable and caring attitude.

* Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
