Quantity Surveyor/Estimator -Civil Engineering in Cardiff - CV-Library

We are currently working with a specialist contractor working predominately within water infrastructure trenchless solutions that include pipe jacking, auger & guided boring, shaft sinking, and micro tunneling. The company is experiencing a period of growth and has an expanding client base and geographical presence working with some of the industry's leading tier 1 contractors and water companies across the UK. To assist with the company’s expansion, they have an exciting opportunity for Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team. This is a hybrid position with a split of home and office working available. The successful individual will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with quantity surveying and estimating. This includes estimating project costs, evaluating subcontractors and suppliers, and providing cost advice and analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Relevant degree or qualification in quantity surveying or a related field

* 7+ years’ experience in the civil engineering industry

* Water industry experience an advantage

* Understanding of NEC contracts

* Raising EWNs, preparing CE quotations

* Preparing monthly payment applications

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Attention to detail and accuracy.

* Strong communication and negotiation

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
