Job Description

Murray McIntosh is delighted to be partnering with an organisation that specialises in the built environment, with a key focus on sustainability.
They are currently looking for a research professional to lead their efforts in providing market intelligence and strategic economic research to identify, evaluate, and monitor elements that may impact business operations, as well as to provide their clients with the information they require to make critical decisions.
As the sole economist within the organisation, you must be a self-starter, able to take ownership of key projects and confident in holding your own in discussions. As this function evolves, there is an exciting opportunity to grow the team in the future.
Key responsibilities include:
Tracking economic trends in the UK, as well as different economies and markets
Conducting research regarding labour economics, econometric research to explain economic trends in the built environment industry
Providing input on strategic development of the organisation
Preparing reports, papers and presentations to communicate analysis and finding to clients and other key stakeholders
Speaking at external events to raise the organisation's profile
Required skills:
A qualification in economics and/or relevant experience in a research role
Strong communications skills, with experience leading presentations
Demonstrable experience providing analysis, insights and reports
An understanding of micro and macro-economic theory models as they relate to the built environment market analysis
Strong quantitative skills, including an understanding of data and empirical analysis techniques
The organisation are based in London and work predominantly in the office.
