Working in the non-destructive testing department you will be tasked with verifying that products and parts manufactured meet with customer requirements and regulations. The position entails ensuring regular and appropriate testing and inspection of the final product prior to release to customer.
Ideal candidates will also be considered to enhance their career and gain Level 3 status, fully supported by the company.
Job responsilbilties:
* Carry out Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Inspection
* Visually inspect to internal and customer quality standard
* Responsible for performing and maintaining non-destructive testing procedures for various aerospace metallic components
* Process components in accordance with NDT data card - cleaning, degreasing, inspect using appropriate method.
Job requirements:
* Experience working in aerospace or automotive quality systems - minimum 5 years
* PCN or EN 4179 Level 2 certification in Magnetic Particle Testing and Penetrant Testing
* Production floor experience in defect reduction and process improvement
* Proficient using various mechanical inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
* Proficient IT skills including MS-Office (primarily, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
* Knowledge of manufacturing methods
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Ability to interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all employee levels
* Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and a positive approach to all areas of work.
Desirable skills:
* Aerospace experience
* Six Sigma, 5Ys, 5s, and Continuous Improvement
* NADCAP audit awareness
* Special processes experience advantageous: coatings and paint
* Able to work extended hours as needed
* HNC/HND or higher
* Experience working to Rolls Royce aerospace specifications
