Materials Controller in Kingston upon Hull - CV-Library

We are looking to add to the team!

Liaise with the planning team to identify material & plant requirements.

Maintain materials and consumables within the stores system, in a manner conducive to efficiency and quality.

Co-ordinate the contract material & plant requirements with the Client Purchasing and Warehousing Teams.

Pre-book material requirements utilising the Clients system where appropriate.

Purchasing of material/equipment items on behalf of ourselves and our clients

Using site transport, collect emergency purchased items from local suppliers.

Using site transport, carry out collection and delivery of material/equipment requirements to the outlying facilities encompassed within the contract.

Assist the Clients Purchasing and Warehousing in determining optimum stock levels required to maintain efficiency of the work teams.

Assist Superintendents / Planners in determining correct/alternative specification material & plant requirements.

Inform the Engineer(s) of extended delivery dates.

Establish the system for receipt, release, traceability [where required] allocation and issue materials.

Identify, quarantine and action non-conforming materials.

Establish material laydown arrangements.

Monitor storage and handling methods.

Establish system for obtaining additional materials.

Establish arrangements for material reconciliation/scrap.

Provision of stores records and certification for inclusion into the dossier/archiving.

Establishing and controlling weld consumable receipt storage and issue.

Carry out a material reconciliation and produce a list of any surplus materials.

This not a Stores position. We require someone who is able to work with suppliers and have the skillset and knowledge of fabrication to go with it.

It is essential that you have experience of Excel and are computer Literate.

You must hold a FULL, in date, valid UK Driving licence.
