We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Tech/Pharmacy Manager at HMP Isle of Wight  to join our team . HMP Isle of Wight’s present role is a category B male training prison. Located on a small island, HMP Isle of Wight is located 8 minutes from St Mary’s Hospital and  26 minutes away from Cowes Ferry Terminal.
Currently our core hours of operation in  Pharmacy operates between 07:30 – 17:30
 
This position is full time 37.5 hours  a week and you’ll receive an annual salary up to £42, 000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing
At Practice Plus Group our pharmacy teams ensure medicines optimisation is embedded into everyday practice. You'll be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service. Working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
The role involves providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.
You will lead a team of support staff and work closely with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners in ensuring effective delivery of pharmacy services.
