We have an exciting opportunity to join our current play service within the Play and Therapies team here at our wonderful setting near Sully, Vale of Glamorgan.
We are looking to recruit a part time Therapeutic Playworker on an 8 month fixed term basis. The Therapeutic Playworker will provide and facilitate, therapeutic interventions through specialised mediums where needed, in both the hospice and community settings, as part of the professional delivery of a paediatric palliative care service. The role will work with children and young people from 0-18 with a range of abilities and complex conditions.
We are looking for a candidate with a passion for play and an understanding of the role that play supports in overall development and wellbeing. Experience of working with complex needs and within multisensory environments is essential.
The hours are 18.75 and will be worked over a month period, Monday and Tuesday 9-5, every week, and 2 weekend days per month.
Applicants will be required to work some weekends and evenings on a rotation basis.
Ty Hafan is one of the UKs leading paediatric palliative care charities and offers respite, care and support to children and young people with life-limiting conditions across Wales. We support them and their families at our hospice in Sully, in the community and in their homes.
