Job Description

We are looking to recruit full-time waken night-shift staff members to join our Inverness service.
Shifts are usually from 22:00 to 08:00, with a rota of 4 nights on, and 4 nights off on a 2 week rotational basis.
We support over 2800 individuals with a variety of needs, some may have physical and/or learning disabilities and Mental Health some with limited verbal communication and some with challenging behaviour.
You will be provided with full training by our excellent and award-winning learning & development team prior to starting. This training initially consists of classroom-based sessions and e-learning as well as the opportunity to shadow current Support Practitioners in their day-to-day role and meet the people you will be supporting.
About the Role :
Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:
Social Support - Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various leisure activities such as day centres, cinema, swimming etc.
Medical Support - Administering and monitoring medication.
Personal Care - Assisting people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with bathing, dressing, arranging visits with the dentist/doctor, incontinence care.
Practical Support - Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
