Job Description

Sammons Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an established global manufacturing group, based in Aldershot, with the aim of supporting them find a Commercial Inventory and Cost Analyst with a passion for data and cutting costs.

You will help analyse, audit, and cost operations in terms of inventory for the UK and International business. This role will also be heavily involved in cost saving in terms of overheads and stock products.

The day-to-day tasks will consist of purchasing control, stock management, report generation and cost analysis across the group as outlined below:

Develop relationships with key Vendors
Monitor and reduce procurement costs while improving efficiency
3rd party product purchasing – any cost increases will need to be analysed as to the impact on product costs/overheads
UK warehouse stock purchasing
Involved in organising international shipments
Ensure inventory levels are sufficient
Ability to review and highlight overstocking to prevent storage issues
Review slow moving stock regularly to generate profit across the group
Ensuring accurate brand reporting
Collecting data to identify areas where the business can be improved
Suggest improvements to maximise efficiency and revenue, to actively save costs
Report generation for management meetings
Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs
Forecast and analyse costs of processes, labour, and inventoryKey Skills Needed as the Inventory and Cost Analyst:

Graduate degree (Economics etc) or equivalent working experience within a similar field/industry
Previous experience in Cost Analysis and reduction
Procurement cost management and analysis skills
Experience in procurement, inventory management or supply chain management
Adaptable to technology with experience using Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of supplier agreements and contract management
The ability to multi-task and have strong analytical skills
The ability to distinguish between reliable and unreliable data
Great organisational skills (project planning and forecasting)
Excellent communication skills
