Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sheffield. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects by effectively managing costs and resources. You will work closely with our project teams to provide accurate cost estimates, procurement support, and financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs for projects.
Collaborating with project managers to develop comprehensive cost plans and budgets.
Managing procurement processes, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
Monitoring project costs and expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Providing timely and accurate financial reports to project stakeholders.
Evaluating variations and change orders, and assessing their impact on project costs.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions and project documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or engineering industry.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in cost estimating and quantity surveying software.
Knowledge of relevant construction contracts and procurement processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
