The role
As an Airfield Support Equipment Controller, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Ensuring scheduled maintenance activities are organised, communicated to trade team leads for implementation and that the execution is monitored, reporting potential issues to maintenance management in a timely fashion for resolution.
Day-to-day, you'll be In line with regulatory publication JAP100E-10. The ASE Maintenance Controller is the focal point for the planning and control of Category 2 and 3 ASE maintenance and is responsible for:
Acting as the Tier 2 Unit Level Fleet Manager for Category 2 and 3 ASE assets.
Planning and co-ordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
Ensuring the correct certification and recording of maintenance work in accordance with the policy and principles detailed in MAM-P Chapter 2.4- Certification and Management of Maintenance Documentation.
Allocating rectification and routine periodic maintenance tasks to the appropriate ASE Maintenance Bay Supervisors or equivalent.
Advising the ASE Maintenance Bay Supervisors or equivalent of task priorities.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Valley.
Essential experience of the Airfield Support Equipment Controller:
Proven experience of managing Airfield Support Equipment / Industrial Plant Equipment maintenance schedules and databases.
Excellent knowledge of production planning and performance reporting
Qualifications for the Airfield Support Equipment Controller:
Training in an Engineering related discipline to City & Guilds 2675 Level 3/NVQ BTEC Level 3 or equivalent
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, wed based maintenance databases (JAMES).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS/SC Clearance
