Licensed Animal Technician in Exeter - CV-Library

We are recruiting for a Licensed Animal Technician to join our client based in Exeter. Our client is the fastest growing UK Research facility with some of the world’s most influential scientists. They are rapidly expanding centre of international excellent research. They are offering a starting salary of £26,000 including a relocation package if needed.

As a Procedural/Licensed Technician, you will be working in the research facility with rodents. You will be assisting with animal experimentation and monitoring. You will also be expected to train new and existing staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting with animal experimentation and research

* Helping to prepare and submit study plans

* Record keeping, such as animal and laboratory records

* Supporting the facility with daily husbandry tasks

* Be one of the key members of staff to be responsible for medicines

* You will be required to actively use your personal license for experimental procedures

Job Requirements:

* PIL License Holder (Modules A-C)

* IAT Level 2 qualification

* Previous experience in training staff members

* Previous experience working in a rodent research facility

* BSc or higher in Biological Sciences or equivalent degree
