Position: Principal Engineer - Principal Engineer - Nuclear Safety Case
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Hourly Rate: £47.41 PAYE OR £62 .65 UMBRELLA
Location: Remote working (with Ad-Hoc Visits to either Barrow, Frimley or Filton)
About the Role: Join our team as a Principal Engineer - Nuclear Safety Case where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products are safe and compliant. This position involves collaborating with our Engineering Delivery Manager in enhancing our Product Safety Management System and Safety Case.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead in developing and managing Product Safety requirements.
Implement and maintain the Safety Management System.
Conduct hazard and risk assessments, and manage the Project Hazard Log.
Provide expert advice on Product Safety engineering.
Produce and oversee the Project Safety Case, including reports.
Deliver and support training in Product Safety and Environmental domains.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to meet safety requirements.
Conduct peer reviews and ensure the robustness of safety documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
STEM Degree or equivalent.
Professional chartership or progress towards it.
Experience in submarine lifecycle phases (design to testing).
Proficient in MS Office.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
