Location: Guildford
Job Type: Full-time, Shift Pattern
Salary: CompetitiveWe are seeking a Maintenance Services Technician to join our Clients busy Estates team in Guildford. The role involves operational maintenance across their estate, ensuring the infrastructure and environmental control systems are maintained in a safe, efficient, and functional order. You will be working on a shift pattern, undertaking both planned and reactive work on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

The current shift pattern is -

3 Days - 06:00-15:00
3 Days - 14:00-23:00
3 Days - Off

Day to Day of the Role:

Maintain all mechanical systems in accordance with current legislative requirements.
Report failing plant or assets to the Helpdesk and ensure plant areas are well-maintained.
Deliver effective maintenance services in response to the estates demands.
Comply with all Health & Safety and Environmental systems and contribute to policy development.
Use appropriate equipment and materials for maintenance services, adhering to current legislation.
Stay updated with developments in your trade or profession and attend courses to enhance knowledge and skills.
Perform multi-skilled tasks, including mechanical isolation and fault finding, as well as minor carpentry and redecoration repairs linked to maintenance work.
Complete administrative work associated with departmental management systems, including work records, stores issues, orders, estimates, and health and safety records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in maintenance services, particularly in mechanical systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive approach to maintenance work and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with health and safety policies and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Willingness to participate in out-of-hours rotas as required for operational effectiveness.
