Environmental Sustainability Manager Nuclear

About the role

The purpose of the role is:

To inform and advise the incumbent sustainability/environmental teams within the wider team providing sustainability and environmental co-ordination, support and advice to the projects and regional teams on all aspects of sustainability and the environment, meeting legal and company standards and helping deliver a culture of continual improvement.

Ensuring contractual and regulatory requirements are delivered.

To directly partner with Project Directors/Heads of Operations.

• Provide professional E&S services by supporting on all aspects of sustainability and the environment

• Ensure the project complies with all Regulations, Company Policies, DCO and the BMS/EMS and that it is continually improved

• Involvement in the implementation of the E&S strategy for the project

• Co-ordinate specific commitments and initiate project impact assessments

• Utilise and report progress and findings from assessments, external and internal audits to drive sustainability action plans and inform key project decisions

• Build and developing relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders

Essential

• Proven experience in the Civils/Utilities industry in an environmental and/or sustainability role

• Proven experience of leading a team

• Cost estimation and commercial awareness

• Degree in relevant field

• MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point to a high standard

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to operate in a range of environments.

• Able to demonstrate the ability to positively influence environment and sustainability within projects

• Excellent organisational skills

• Experience in Implementing ISO

Desirable
