As a forward-thinking organisation, they prioritise efficiency, automation, and strategic partnerships to drive success. Therefore, our client is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join the team and push the business forward.
The Underwriter's job is to decide if someone can get a loan and say yes or no to their request. You'll talk to customers one-on-one and build relationships with them. You'll work with other departments to help customers through the loan process and make sure the Our Client meets its goals.
Responsibilities/Duties
* Perform risk assessments on potential loan recipients based on credit rating, borrowing history, and other specific risk factors.
* Understand the rules and regulations that govern lending.
* Work seamlessly with other team members to ensure a smooth, speedy application process for potential customers.
* Review and verify supporting documentation.
* Conduct thorough and accurate research.
* Respond to all customer enquiries/applications.
* Performing administrative tasks as assigned by the Line Manager
