Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Gloucester
Type: Full-time position
Salary: £90-£95 per day (dependent on experience)
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an SEN (Special Educational Needs) school located in Gloucester. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require additional support.
Responsibilities:
Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties in their academic and personal development.
Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning programs to meet individual needs.
Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students during classroom activities.
Promote positive behaviour management techniques and encourage positive social interactions.
Help create a safe and nurturing learning environment for students.
Collaborate with other staff members, including teachers, therapists, and parents, to ensure effective support for each student.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with students with emotional and behavioural difficulties is desirable but not essential.
A genuine passion for supporting and improving the lives of students with special educational needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service is mandatory.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or related fields are advantageous.
