We present a remarkable opportunity for a Designated Individual - Temporary Works to join this visionary organisation on a full-time basis. We invite applications from candidates residing in, or capable of commuting from, vibrant areas such as Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, Penarth, Barry, Porthcawl, Neath, Usk, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Llanfoist, Bristol, Chepstow, and Pontypridd.
KEY ROLE HIGHLIGHTS

As a pivotal figure within the organisation, the Designated Individual - Temporary Works will be instrumental in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the highest standards for temporary works.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Validating temporary works procedures from external parties
Collaborating with the pre-construction team to ensure meticulous consideration of temporary works for all tenders
Assessing and documenting approvals of the Temporary Works Coordinator on a project-by-project basis
Mentoring Temporary Works Supervisors and fostering their professional growth
Providing invaluable assistance to the Temporary Works Coordinator in effectively managing the works program
Offering visionary leadership to Temporary Works Supervisors in identifying medium and high-risk temporary works
Assisting in the thorough review of critical temporary work on projects involving complexity and/or high risk
Ensuring individuals in roles of responsibility are suitably competent and well-equipped for project delivery
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced Designated Individual - Temporary Works, ideally Chartered in a relevant discipline, possessing extensive experience in temporary works.
Additionally, an ideal candidate should hold a degree/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, demonstrating familiarity with various construction sectors.
