Our client is a customer focussed mortgage and savings provider based in Stockport. They are seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join their team. Over the past three years, they have undergone a significant amount of investment and change, with their overall vision to be the first choice of mortgages, savings and employment.

The successful individual will be expected to be on site for the duration of the 26 week probationary period. After this, our client offers a hybrid approach to the working week with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.

Main duties of the Mortgage Underwriter will be:

* Personally assessing and underwriting applications for many types of residential and BTL lending.

* Ensuring you are operating within their risk appetite.

* Positively and professionally liaising with the sales teams, mortgage intermediaries and customers.

The successful individual will possess:

* Previous experience in manually underwriting residential and BTL mortgages.

* CeMap would be desirable, or the desire to study and obtain this qualification.
