Our client, a leading marine organization, is currently seeking a skilled Engineer (Naval Architect) to join their team. As a Naval Architect (Engineer), you will play a crucial role in the design and development of marine assets and equipment. This is a permanent position within a dynamic engineering environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out design and development work and configuration change control of technical documentation
Facilitating the through life product configuration of all assets and their associated equipment
Ensuring that the design of marine plant, equipment, and procedures comply with established processes and standards
Collaborating with project teams to complete work within agreed timescales and follow established processes
Acting as a designated engineering signatory in accordance with delegated authority
Providing technical support to coastal staff and volunteers
Liaising with boatyards, contractors, and suppliers
Planning and undertaking technical investigations, troubleshooting, trials, and data analysis
Participating in ad hoc tasks and projects as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:
An accredited Naval Architecture (or equivalent) engineering qualification
2-3 years of experience working as a Naval Architect
A motivated and positive attitude, with the ability to work well in a team
The ability to develop innovative strategies and improve operational delivery
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
