Textile Operative - Mender in New Delph - CV-Library

We are currently working in partnership with one of our prestigious textile clients, as we are looking for Textile Operatives, in particular Weavers and Menders. Textiles experience is essential, full training will be provided. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity which is available with an immediate start.
Easily commutable via bus links from Oldham Town Centre.

Hours of work:
Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm
39 hour working week over 4 days

Rate of pay:
£11.44 per hour
 
Role Specification for Mender:

Check and remove/mend by hand, any occured defects within the woven fabric
Establish the best method of mending faults such as holes, knots and drop ends
Using hand tools to mend the fabric
Following internal quality procedures
Completion of Production Order paperwork
General housekeeping/cleaning
The process requires attention to detail, high levels of concentration and standing for long periods of timePerson Specification:
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Experience is essential within the textile industry
* Good concentration and an excellent eye for detail
* Ability to learn and pick things up quickly
