Field Service Engineer in London - Randstad Tech IT

Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Remote (UK wide travel)
Shifts: Monday - Friday, 38 hours
(with UK wide travel & overnight stay approx 2 nights per week)
Salary: Circa £36,000 - £39,000 per annum

The Company:
An award-winning smart technologies manufacturer specialising in film coating for optics, flat panel displays, solar cells and industrial vacuum equipment covering a range of sectors, from energy & gas to FMCG pharmaceuticals and packaging.
Although they are an international company covering several continents, here in the UK they have only a small team of engineers that work very closely together. They are a lively bunch and are seeking an energetic multi skilled engineer with industrial experience working with hydraulics, motors, handling calibrations and testing with a variety of production equipment.
This role will be a mix of planned servicing / installation jobs and some reactive maintenance responding to breakdowns on their customer sites all over the country. Most jobs will be planned in advance and will be work to ensure you are home as much as possible however due to the nature of work a level of flexibility around your working hours will be required.
You must be prepared for some longer days and some overnight stays - however all extra time worked will be given in lieu and all members of the team make sure to pitch in and to spread the work out fairly between them - this will also be expected of you!
Requirements:
Completed ONC/HNC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
At least 3 years experience within an industrial environment working with production equipment
Evidence of working independently, time keeping and managing your own schedule.
Confident liaising with clients / customers in a professional manner.
