Job Description

We are proud to assist our client, a leading environmental restoration and conservation company dedicated to preserving and enhancing natural habitats across the West Midlands. Specialising in river embankment restoration projects, our client is committed to promoting biodiversity, preventing erosion, and creating sustainable ecosystems.

What we need:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee river embankment restoration works across the West Midlands region. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role in impactful environmental conservation projects.

What you will do:

Leading and managing river embankment restoration projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Implementing and maintaining strict health and safety protocols on-site, including conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of safety among all team members.

Coordinating resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to efficiently execute project plans and meet project objectives.

Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.

Overseeing site activities, conducting regular inspections, and implementing quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds expectations.

Providing leadership, guidance, and support to on-site staff, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.

Managing project documentation and reporting, including progress updates, site records, and relevant documentation.

What you will need:

Essential: SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.

Previous experience in a site management role, particularly on green sites or within environmental restoration or conservation projects, is highly desirable.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site.

Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices related to construction and environmental conservation.

Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites across the West Midlands region.

What you will get:

6 month freelance contract

£375 per day Outside IR35
