About M Group Services Plant and Fleet and your team

With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets.

You will assume day to day responsibilities of the National Rental Team that delivers all Plant, Fleet, Accommodation, Site Services and Tool requirements to the Business.

As the Rental Desk Manager, you’ll get the opportunity to:

Liaise with all customers at contract management level to ensure that all their plant and fleet requirements are met.
Develop solid working relationships with all contract based plant and fleet coordinators and approved orders.
Resolve any operational issues between site/contracts and the desk, working together to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
Maximise internal hire opportunities whilst providing a class leading external hire solution
Continuously review the levels of external hire and establish opportunities for the supply of internal equipment.
Forecast future work based on contract awards and work with the customer on implementation / mobilisation.
Liaise with Supplier Account Managers to manage performance of all suppliers.
Resolving all invoice queries and identify areas which can be improved to reduce the volume of queries.
Increasing revenue through improved asset utilisation and identification of new products and services.
Asset management, ensure all assets are accounted for and in the correct status.
Maintain the integrity of Insphire and key2 thus ensuring all reporting is live.What you’ll bring?

Strong Leadership and Management of the Rental team comprising of 25 personnel.
Managing performance of the team, being first line HR responsibility of attendance, behaviour, grievances, and time management.
Managing Recruitment, training and development of new team members.
Relevant experience within a similar management position within either Plant, Fleet or a Contact Centre are desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to relate to and work with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Proven IT Skills with experience of Microsoft Office and Hire Management Software. Knowledge of Insphire, key2 and oracle desirable.What’s in it for you?
