Location: Thurrock, Essex
Shifts: Monday - Friday, days 08:00 - 16:30 (plus an on call rota)
Salary: £49,000 + per annum (including on-call rota)

The Company:
My client is a reputable internationally recognised manufacturing/production company within the FMCG food industry. Due to their growth and internal promotions/training, they are seeking a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with experience within a FMCG manufacturing industry or similar work environment to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Candidate:
You must be able to work well with others, have a positive attitude towards work and want to grow within the company long-term and must have previous experience finding BOTH mechanical and electrical faults in a FMCG environment. You will ideally be electrically and be familiar with working on a variety of industrial equipment from controls, PLCs, three phase motors and even wiring, installations and testing!
The role will include supporting the team in dismantling and replacing machine parts as well as maintenance. As the site is very efficiently run the majority of the work is planned maintenance with very little breakdowns/preventative maintenance needed. So you must be forward thinking and able to show initiative. Other duties will include upholding health and safety regulations in a fast moving automated environment and conducting all mandatory logs and taking responsibility for your own learning and development.
Requirements:
Several years experience working within a FMCG/food production environment.
Must have completed an onsite apprenticeship or hold a level 3 NVQ/HNC/HND or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Must be a team player and willing to fit in and learn from the established engineers onsite.
Be familiar with electrical troubleshooting, predominantly with automated systems/controls/PLCs.
Hold 17th or 18th Edition (or show evidence of electrical ability).
Competent fault finding and repairing on a range of production/milling/manufacturing equipment
Be ambitious, enthusiastic and thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a 'can do' attitude to work.
