Overview
Are you proactive and hands-on? We're looking to recruit and develop a vehicle diagnosis and repair specialist so join the Technical Team who will contribute to the delivery of the Solus Technical Strategy at this exciting time of change in the automotive industry, to keep Solus market-leading into the future.
Responsibilities
The Role:
Your primary role will be to evaluate and embed new technology and processes with the aim of increasing in-house capability in the areas of electro-mechanical diagnosis and resolution, ADAS calibration, EV safe handling and repair, HV battery testing and repair, Function-on-Demand, and Over-The-Air software.
We are looking for an individual who can deliver not only the above but also the following:
Demonstrate that recommendations that are made regarding products and processes have been researched, documented, formally evaluated, and properly piloted with sites, before any recommendations for change are made to the business
Demonstrate the technical direction given to sites on repair issues are understood and embedded and are in line with Aviva principles and policies and Solus's quality agenda
Demonstrate the ability to collate, interpret, and analyse data, both remotely, and at Solus sites, and to present this analysis
Demonstrate the ability to understand the root cause of any failure and work with Technical Team colleagues and leadership teams at sites to address this
Build a relationship with our IT team to ensure our workshops have the technology required now and in the future
Demonstrate interpersonal skills to challenge and influence colleagues
Demonstrate compliance with BS10125, HSE, COSHH, EPA, Thatcham Insurance Industry Requirements, and all other legal and industry requirements

Qualifications
Desireable Qualifications and Experience:
NVQ/Senior IMI Accreditation
L3 HV or OEM equivalent desirable
PC skills incl MS Office, and Solus Tablet proficiency
Technical understanding of repair processes
Training and mentoring experience desirable, but will be developed in the role
