The fantastic practice in Doncaster is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join the team working a four-day week with no out of hours/bank holidays and 1:9 Saturday mornings with TOIL.

We are a friendly and supportive team of 9 vets with a wide range of interests including medicine, surgery and ECC certificate holders so there's always someone there to give you support and encourage your development.  We have two sites, both with operating and laboratory facilities.  We use VetsNow for our out of hours and bank holidays, and they come in to our main site overnight so our in patients can stay there and be looked after by the dedicated night team.

The specifics of the role can be catered towards your strengths and interests:

We perform a wide range of surgeries including cruciate and patella surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and BOAS surgery, so if you're interested in developing your surgical skills then this role would be ideal for you.
We also have a wide range of diagnostic equipment (including Imagyst, ultrasound, dental radiography, endoscopy and i-STAT) so if medicine is your area of interest, then you'll be happy to know we are able to work up the vast majority of cases in house and have dedicated hospital shifts which are a mix of caring for in patients and seeing emergency cases, as well as usual consulting and operating days.
Or if you like a little bit of everything, that's OK too, our rota is catered towards what each individual likes to do.
The salary range is £40,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience (additional certificates or experience may negotiate a higher salary bracket) and well-behaved pets are very welcome to come to work with you. You will be working across our two sites.
