Automotive Shift Fitter Technician in Rhyl - The Job People

Here at The Job People, we are looking for an Automotive Shift Fitter Technician to join our team in the Thurmaston Depot. LE4 8PH.
An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our garage as a Shift Fitter reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles.
£20.00 per hour - Fixed AM shift - 05.00 - 13.00 - 39 Hours Per Week
The role as Shift Fitter Technician will involve:
Servicing and repairs to our clients' standards and DVSA standards.
Continuous improvement of vehicle standards
MOT preparation
Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to company Standards (Higher than DVSA)
Shift Work
General service, maintenance and repair of public service vehicles
Cope with the day-to-day pressures that a normal vehicle workshop brings
Vehicle inspections
MOT preparation / Presentation
Correction of running defects
Requirements of a Shift Fitter in Thurmaston:
Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines.
Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary.
A PCV license is desirable but not necessary.
Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable.
