Due to business growth, on offer is a full-time and permanent opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join a company who truly values their employees and offer a great working environment.
YOUR NEW ROLE
You will be hands-on, managing your projects from conception through to completion. Working mainly out in the field, your working hours will vary. There will be some overnights, evenings and weekends may be required, so please only apply if this is suitable.

Undertaking surveys (Protected Species Surveys, Preliminary Ecological Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitat Regulation Assessments)

Responsible for the accurate collation of data, information, analysis in order to lead on the production of reports

Oversee delivery of ecological studies and impact assessments

Assist and support management with budgets, planning and strategy

Mentoring junior members of the team

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
An experienced Senior Ecologist

Degree in Environment Ecology related subject

Associate Member CIEEM

Experienced in using GIS / Mapping Software to analyse and interpret data

Must have great reporting writing skills

Aware and up to date with: all relevant and current ecology best practices, relevant wildlife legislation and policies

MUST have understanding of UK protected species (bats, dormice and newts)

Hold a minimum of one survey class licence

Experience within the infrastructure sector would be advantageous

Hold a Personal Track Safety Card

Hold a valid UK driving licence and open to travel

Basic salary £45,000 (depending on experience)
