We are now looking for an Education & Skills Policy Advisor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Role
As an Education & Skills Policy Advisor, you will provide engineering education policy advice to the media, employers, governments, academic bodies and other institutions.
Providing thought leadership and expert advice to external stakeholders, you will work with members, the media and politicians, supporting our Education and Skills policy and promoting engineering education.
You will attend collaborative education boards to advise and assist with promoting engineering as a career, both internally and through external media opportunities, speaking about pathways into engineering and the different types of engineering roles available.
Additionally, you will:
- Write and deliver technically accurate engineering education and skills policy
- Conduct research with expert members and other organisations and commentators
- Develop and deliver campaigning policy positions
- Produce blogs, social media content, policy statements, case studies, campaigns and reports
About You
To be considered as an Education & Skills Policy Advisor, you will need:
- Experience of report and article writing
- Experience addressing sensitive issues, presenting complex data and providing feedback
- An understanding of current engineering education and professional development issues
