The Client

My client is an Interior Fit-Out & Refurb specialist who design, fit-out and refurbish across many sectors including bars, restaurants, hotels and commercial sectors, working with a blue chip client base.

The Senior CAD Technician / Production Manager Role

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior CAD Technician / Production Manager with a strong emphasis on two distinct areas of the business:

* Responsible for the coordination and direction of external manufacturers to ensure joinery, metal work and upholstery etc that is ordered for our projects is manufacture and delivered as drawn and to the correct standards.

* You will ideally be CAD literate and be able to provide support to the Design Department, particularly during busy periods, producing technical CAD drawings for production and manufacturing purposes.

Additional Key Roles & Responsibilities:

* Understanding the employers requirements, through architectural and designer’s specification and drawings to ensure joinery drawings are compliant.

* Attend design meetings with client team.

* Check site surveys against joinery rod drawings

* Manage tracker of design, manufacture, delivery and install.

Key Skills / Experience

* The role demands previous experience in joinery production and an intimate knowledge of the joinery business.

* CAD experience using AutoCAD 2D & 3D is highly desirable, however the experience in joinery production is ESSENTIAL.

* High end sector experience is essential with contract values from £100k - £2million.

* The successful candidate will be able to communicate production schedule/priorities to relevant parties

Additional Skills:

* Level 3 NVQ Carpentry and Joinery and/or Wood Machinist qualification (Or City & Guilds equivalent)

* Minimum 5 years Management Experience

* AutoCAD Experience

* Valid UK Driving Licence

* Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite
