We are working with a Local Authority in Plymouth that is looking for a Qualified Social Workers to join their flourishing Initial Response Team Service in Childrens Services.

They need a Qualified Social Worker that is ready to help vulnerable children and their families really succeed and affect change. This Local Authority is known for its beautiful location and highly supportive management that are always there to lend a hand to their Qualified Social Workers. Lots of opportunities for progression and the option to go permanent should you wish!

As a member of the Initial Response Team, you will play a vital role in completing assessments and providing support to children and families in need. Your expertise and commitment will contribute to ensuring the safety and well-being of children, while also promoting positive outcomes for families. To excel in this role, you will need to have a strong background in social work, with experience in child protection. You should possess excellent assessment and communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with families and gather relevant information. Your ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team will be crucial in providing holistic support to families.

In addition to your experience, we are looking for individuals who are empathetic, resilient, and able to work well under pressure. You should have a genuine passion for improving the lives of children and families, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional practice. You will need to have at least 2 years of experience in Childrens Services to be eligible for this post in Plymouth for a Qualified Social Worker within Initial Response Team.
