Marine Support Engineer in Southampton - CV-Library

Our client has a new requirement for another Marine Navigation Support Engineer to join their Hampshire based team!

Those that can commute to the manufacturing site from Southampton, Fareham, Winchester, Gosport, Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Bishops Walsham ect will be ideal

We can pay great starting salaries (For Trainee’s or otherwise) and only require the following:
Requirements:

Marine Engineering knowledge –Which could have been applied through a Marine Engineering qualification or job
Specific marine engineering knowledge required (And that will be applied in the role) includes: Bridge navigation systems- Voyage Data Recorders (VDR), GPS Docking Systems, Analogue to digital interfaces.
Experience in a Marine Mechanical and or Electrical Engineering role is beneficial but not essential
Drivers licence The role:
A Marine Navigation Support Engineer is responsible for the monitoring and reactive repairing of product lines; Bridge navigation / docking systems with built in voice data recorders.

Working in the high-tech on site test rigs, you’ll monitor the NEMA 0183 systems, where you’ll be notified live in action should the equipment have faults.
It’s then your responsibility to access the equipment remotely and solve the problem.
If the equipment needs hands on support you will occasionally be required to help out directly on the ship. The team:

Their staff have been with the business for an average of 8 years which is a testament to their popularity and good treatment.

They have experience in training Marine Engineers from the ground up to senior level before, but as mentioned above we are also very open to the idea of someone who already comes from the Marine industry and therefore starting salaries will range between £25K and £40K plus bonus
