Structural Design Engineer

Location: Canterbury, Kent

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Depending on Experience)

Hunter Mason’s Client is a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil engineering as the core design disciplines. They have now identified the need for a structural engineer who has experience with design in the Civil Sector to join their rapidly expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the design and analysis of Structural components and systems

* Thorough working knowledge of Eurocodes

* Regeneration / steel structure experience

* Utilise Engineering software and tools for modelling and calculations

* Support project teams in the planning, execution, and completion of Structural Engineering projects

* Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, including drawings and specifications

* Participate in site visits and inspections to gain practical insights into construction processes

* Stay informed about industry trends, codes, and standards

We are looking for a candidate who is:

* Within 25 miles of Canterbury, Kent

* Ideally a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

* Experience in structural design with an emphasis on steel structures

* Strong Experience with load calculations/structural calculations

* Experience with structural design and CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor, or Autodesk Advanced Steel.

* Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
