Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer.
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary / Benefits £22k - £34k + Company Vehicle + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for an experienced water hygiene engineer in the Essex area. The successful candidate will be joining an established water hygiene company, with longstanding team, undertaking l8 compliance tasks to ACoP L8 guidelines. The candidate will be professional and flexible with a keen interest, in developing long term within the water treatment industry.

Candidates will be based with good access to the Essex / Kent and East London areas, with consideration being given to locations such as; Romford, Hornchurch, Dagenham, Rainham, Brentwood, Billericay, Chelmsford, Wickford, Basildon, Rayleigh, Rochford, Southend-on-Sea, Canvey Island, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Dartford, Erith, Gravesend, Bexleyheath and Sidcup.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience working either within a water hygiene engineer or environmental service technician within and established company.
- Working knowledge of ACoP L8 guidelines.
-Experience undertaking legionella monitoring duties to hot and cold water systems.
- Able to communicate efficiently (Written and verbal)

The Role:
- Delivering routine legionella monitoring and sampling tasks to a mixed portfolio of Healthcare and Commercial, Local Authority, Leisure, and Government sites.
- Cooling tower clean & disinfections.
- Calorifier inspections, clean & disinfections.
- TMV servicing, fail safe testing and calibration.
- Tank inspections and cleans.
- Flushing of small outlets.
- Showerhead cleaning and disinfections.
- Updating onsite logbooks to ensure compliance.
- Working in line with ACoP L8 / Health & Safety Guidelines.
- Representing the company to clients in a professional manner.
