Elevation Accountancy & Finance are super excited to be working in partnership with a well-establish business, based in Rotherham as they look to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team!

The successful candidate will support the Head of Finance with the management of the company’s sales / purchase ledger invoicing, while also looking after the processing of payments, matching purchase orders and supplier statement reconciliations. The business pride themselves on being a family run business with market-leading knowledge within their industry and so are looking for someone who will embrace their company ethos and demonstrate their values across the team and into the wider business.

Title: Accounts Assistant
Type: Permanent – Full time OR part time available

Salary: up to £25,000
26 days holiday plus bank holidays

Duties of the Accounts Assistant will include:

Processing materials invoices to the appropriate project and cost code after matching with the purchase orders and delivery notes, ensuring any discrepancies to these documents are resolved
Supplier statement reconciliations
Scanning of invoices, credit notes and other documentation to store against transactions/in system folders as appropriate
Raising sales ledger invoices to housing associations
Communicating with other departments in an effective manner to maintain smooth processes and streamline processes where possible
Other finance tasks as requested
Key Skills & Experience required:

Experience of job costing is desirable but not essential
Experience of Sage 50 is desirable but not essential
Experience of VAT in construction is desirable but not essential
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
Excellent attention to detail and accurate processing
Works well in a team
