Job Description

Our client, a trustworthy haulage and warehousing company, that offer a professional reliable and personal service to customers, are looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk, to be based at the company’s head office in Colnbrook, Berkshire.
Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Account / Finance Manager. Assisting within various accounting / finance tasks, including financial record- keeping, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable and payroll administration.

* Monday to Friday Shift Pattern 9am – 5pm.
* An attractive salary on offer of around £25,000 - £27,000, dependent on skills and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the Accounts / Finance Manager and team
* Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and expense reports
* Process and reconcile invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
* Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain accounting records accurately
* Assist with payroll administration, including processing timesheets, calculating wages, and preparing payroll reports.
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
* Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters
* Support the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
To Be Considered:
* Proficiency in accounting software
* Strong knowledge of MS Excel for data entry and analysis
* Familiarity with payroll processing systems and procedures
* Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
* Ability to interpret and analyze financial data accurately.
* Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements
* Experience with accounts payable and receivable processes
