GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Transport Shift Manager , to work at our Currys site in Bristol. You will play a key role in supporting the dedicated transport operation for the GXO Currys network, ensuring customer satisfaction and procedural conformance.
The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis and you will work 37.5 hours per week on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, which is typically Monday to Friday. Start time is negotiable between 06:00 08:00 and youll need to be flexible at times, this is logistics after all!

What youll do on a typical day:
Support the dedicated transport operation for GXO Currys Bristol by managing a team of core drivers, agency drivers and support staff along with fleet, compliance and all transport equipment, in an ever-changing environment, whilst meeting KPI and service requirements
Coordinate customer requirements ensuring customer satisfaction and procedural conformance, whilst ensuring contractual obligations are also met
Ensure good quality communication with the customer on a day-to-day basis and deliver any agreed actions required to keep the operation efficient
Monitor and proactively control the daily execution of the transport plan to fulfil requirements, working closely with the GXO management team and other customer sites, keeping them informed of any changes
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Demonstrable experience within a similar role, experience supervising a team of drivers and an operational understanding of a transport environment
Excellent communication skills with a diplomatic approach, able to deal with possible confrontational issues
Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment, planning and organising
Transport Manager CPC essential
