Are you an experienced and passionate Transport Manager ready to take on a leadership role that offers challenges, growth and the chance to make a real impact? We are on the lookout for a talented individual to join our client's team as a Transport Manager, overseeing a robust operation of around 90 vehicles and leading a team of approximately 130 dedicated members. They are a fast growing FMCG business in Kent and this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving business.

The best candidate must be adapatable, confident in a fast paced environment and can influence and lead the team. Due to the 24/7 nature of the business, you need to be flexible with working hours including 1 in 5 weekends, to be able to meet the business needs. In return, they offer flexibility for personal commitments when you need it.

Key Responsibilities:

*Implement and maintain cost-effective strategies, ensuring compliance with transport legislation and regulations.
*Oversee fleet servicing and maintenance for smooth transport operations.
*Recruit, coach, and manage the transport team to improve performance and compliance.
*Lead by example, emphasizing safe working practices, fleet hygiene, and health and safety.
*Manage and develop transport colleagues, handling absence management, disciplinaries, and grievances.
*Oversee the scheduling of the transport team to meet business needs and service levels.
*Communicate proactively with internal colleagues regarding operational and financial issues.
*Conduct accident and incident investigations in accordance with company and insurance procedures.
*Prepare detailed reports on performance and KPIs as required.

About you:

*Previous experience in a transport management or senior supervisory role.
*National CPC holder with up-to-date knowledge of transport regulations, including driving hours.
*Demonstrable experience leading and motivating a diverse team.
*Fleet management experience.
*Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and internal colleagues.
*Ability to work calmly and remain focused in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
*Strong customer focus and a drive to deliver outstanding customer service.
*Competent in MS Office.
*Experience in SAP and Stream
