With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets.

Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.

You will support our front-line operations by providing compliant, innovative and fit for purpose Vehicles Plant and Equipment.

You will assume day to day responsibilities of multi depot drivers and routing for the National Rental Team.

As the Transport & Logistics Supervisor, you’ll get the opportunity to:

Be responsible for the supervision, effective management and day to day coordination of all Delivery Drivers and their activities.
Manage performance of the team, being first line HR responsibility of attendance, behaviour, grievances and time management.
Ensure that all M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions policies and procedures are followed and up to date within the workshop/yard/vehicle.
Manage and plan all Plant & Tool Equipment deliveries and collections to and from our remote depots
Processing of on all hire and off hire notes through our transport app.
Run off hire not confirmed report making sure all items are collected within 72 hours
Liaise with the Asset Controller and Workshop for availability of Plant & Equipment
Ensuring all drivers Timesheets are handed in on time and are coded correctly for authorisation and submission.
Ensure safety briefings and toolbox talks are carried out to all personnel as required.
Maintain Company FORS standards ensuring all driver training is completed and monthly toolbox talks and additional e learning training requirements are completed
Continuously monitor quality of work through regular audit checks prior to/during delivery to sites.
Process and close down reported defects, informing workshop and recording repairs
Ensure 3rd Party Haulage are fully compliant with our Companies H & S processesWhat you’ll bring?

Relevant experience within the Transport & Logistics Industry is essential.
Appointed Person Qualification essential.
Transport Manager CPC or previous experience Desirable
Experience of Insphire and/or Jaama Key2 desirable
Highly Motivated and willing to go the extra mile
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and work with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Proven IT Skills with experience of Microsoft Office and Hire Management SoftwareWhat’s in it for you?
