What you will be doing:
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and on a daily basis you will represent the brand to deliver an excellent service to our customers. Reporting to the Installations Manager,this role will require you to work independently to deliver the following:
Installations overhead from Telegraph Poles (PIA)
Installations underground using OpenReach leadins (PIA)
Installations from Toby Boxes
Installing internal customer equipment (Optical Network Termination, Residential Gateway / Router, Wireless Mesh, Internal cabling)
Visiting customer premises to identify and resolve faults
Locating Faults in the Passive Optical Network
Replacing or repairing damaged fibre
We are looking for someone who is confident in speaking to customers, is a great communicator and problem solver.
With experience working as a Fibre / Copper Installations Engineer, you will need to have accreditation to work on Openreach PIA networks (SA001 / SA002 / S7 / S8), whilst experience of advanced fibre optic testing and IT networking (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN etc.) is desirable. The role may require for you to work additional overtime on occasion, and you should be located within Hampshire/ Berkshire ORWarwickshire/Oxfordshire/The Midlandsand hold a full driving license.
The role would suit someone who can work both collaboratively and independently to find faults and install network equipment, whilst being able to express ideas and raise concerns clearly.
