Motor trade Marketing Manager

* £30-35,000 per annum DOE

We’re looking for an ambitious Marketing Manager who is ready to take on a new challenge and develop alongside our growing team as we embark on the exciting next phase of our business growth.

Working closely with Senior Management and dealership Line Managers, you will be required to advise marketing solutions and then complete, implement and maintain a Marketing Planner for each dealership, covering Retail, Fleet, Motability and Aftersales activity, ensuring that all activity is completed on time and within agreed budgets. This will involve managing a day-to-day relationship with the retained marketing agency, using your creative flair to provide comprehensive briefs.

You will also be required to regularly liaise with the manufacturers’ field teams and marketing agencies to ensure that all activity is approved and executed within brand guidelines.

Knowledge of the automotive industry is preferable and previous marketing experience is essential. Local knowledge of Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire would be beneficial.

The role is full-time and you will based across dealerships in Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe.


* Working with the Senior Management, develop a marketing strategy to deliver against key business objectives

* Understand business challenges and opportunities and advise Senior Management on marketing solutions, both online and offline, across Retail/Fleet/Motability/After Sales/Accessories

* Ensure the successful implementation of agreed activity, executed within brand guidelines

* Management and control of assigned budgets, ensuring they are continually reviewed and Senior management are aware of effectiveness

* Provide on-going support and advice to each dealership

* Undertake regular reviews of business performance in relation to marketing objectives. While also monitoring the usage and effectiveness of materials / campaigns

* Identify larger business challenges requiring higher levels of analysis and research

* Manage the Group’s offline and online marketing strategy, considering both existing and conquest audiences

* Maintain relationships with suppliers. Including briefing agencies, print and point of sale suppliers

* Maintain and develop Group websites, ensuring strong SEO

* Support development of lead generation initiatives, focused primarily on conquesting new prospects to the brands

* Maintain and maximise the Group database, monitoring lead generation, lead management and customer loyalty, encouraging follow up of all communications

* Attend and present (where required) at Group and Manufacturer meetings

* Build and maintain relationships with key Group and Manufacturer personnel

* Manage social media channels, including capturing content across all 4 sites, creating and scheduling content, driving engagement on the platforms and maintaining a high level of community management

Professional Experience:


Previous marketing experience, across varied disciplines. Proven track record of delivering successful projects and managing multiple projects simultaneously. A genuine interest in the automotive industry.


Experience of working within automotive sector.
